Wow! This is the kind of surprise I love.....we hadn't visited for a while and this was about 3:00 in the afternoon... of course we were dining all alone and we hoped it was only the off hour as we walked past a vinyl upholstered booth with the vinyl seats ripped up on both sides.... But like all great "little eating holes in the wall", the food and service were awesome .... Folks it was just plain yum yum yummy!!! Three of us- Me: My order of the Swedish meatball entre was immediately applauded by both our server and his helper which was actually just what a diner wants to hear...and it was unbelievably delicious! Friend: French onion soup He always orders this and always critiques it but this time he was actually raving. Sausage peppers and onions The roll was perfectly crispy with lots of sesame seeds and the inside looked so good I wanted to leap over the table.... Third diner??? A huge order of stuffed potato skins and again, she always orders these and knows her skins... these got her #1 best ever!!! Run over to PJ's where breakfast is king, but lunch, dinner and the bar are all rockin'...!!
Enjoyed Sunday brunch at PJs this past weekend! We sat at the bar, and I had a good cinnamon maple whiskey sour. For my meal, I chose the special Mexi-Benny which was very flavorful and I loved the potato's it came with! My wife had the two-fer (eggs and pancakes) and raved about the blueberry pancakes.
A cozy little place packed with flavor and history. The menu, along with flavorful pancake choices, has robust breakfast options. The food was served hot and fresh. My only complaint is that the chai latte was not as tasty as others I have had in other restaurants. My friend got the hot chocolate and enjoyed it. The server was respectful and the wait time was expected for a Saturday brunch rush. I highly recommend this breakfast spot when in the area.
The waitress asked me if I was still working on it...I said, "the work is done" *empty plate* LOL PJ's is one of the best in town for breakfast. The pancakes and eggs are perfect!! No lie, the fluffiest ever. If you're used to "diner food" and looking for that traditional taste, a low key "no need to get dressed up" spot to roll out of bed and go to this is it. The prices are very reasonable, so bring a friend or two! With free parking, good service, and fresh made to order plates it's a YAY from me, check it out!
cute spot i always drive past and finally spotted at for lunch. the bar is huge. nice cocktail list ! i was craving breakfast but went with lunch - i got the turkey ruben with onion rings - which was delicious ! the sauerkraut was a bit smokey. the onion rings were huge and crispy. i'm excited to go back and eat a bunch of pancakes ! the AC was blasting so it was a bit cold but i had a coat in the car
